Spinach is a leafy green plant and originated from central and western Asia, enjoyed by the ancient Persians. It was grown in hot weather only. The spinach leaves look like a oval shape and wrinkled. In India spinach known as “PALAK”It contains low in calories, fat, extreme vitamins, minerals &nutrients. Raw spinach contains 91% water, 4% carbohydrates, 3% protein and is rich in vitamin A, many forms of Vitamin B, vitamin C and minerals like calcium, magnesium, manganese, iron.  It is almost extreme ingredient that finds a wide variety of uses in Indian cooking.

Spinach can be used in preparing a host of recipes, like salads,gravies,snacks, bread & rice. In Indian cooking spinach leaves are cooked with spices in a gravy of onians and tomatoes. Can also prepare PalakPanner ,Palak Dal with tomato , and also palak is mixed with flour to  prepare Indian Bread or Roti and it is  used in different salads,  because of its taste and texture.
